Vinegar anyone?

Ok so whenever someone in our family got the flu our mom had anyone who wasn't sick drink vinegar water so that we wouldn't get the flu. Now I am not really sure what the vinegar did to our stomach but for those who have tasted vinegar I am sure it attacks whatever is causing the flu and Destroys it. Its pretty strong stuff!

Our lovely son came into our room last night and kindly threw up on Jason. Ha Ha. Having done so my husband disappeared (he cant handle it, he will throw up too). I cleaned up the bed and put fresh sheets on. We got Addi back to bed and we all settled back down when he did it again in his bed. Well we made him a bed on the floor. He was sick off and on for the rest of the night.

Well you might be wondering why I am telling you this? I promptly made up 6 batches of vinegar water and had everyone drink it. Even Jason who never gets sick and wont drink it when I have made it before did it (he gagged however)... Now here is the experiment. Who will get sick and who wont? I will keep you posted. I foresee it being me (who has been around Addi and cleaning up after him) or Alexia who gets sick really easy.
Any other home remedies out there? I would love to hear about them.!!!

Hate drinking the darn stuff, but it is better than throwing up!! Hope the little man feels better soon, and that nobody else will get sick.

The girls got sick two weeks ago and I gave them vinegar water and they asked for more. They like to do the shiver dance after taking a nice gulp!

I try the cola thing and that tastes way better than the vinegar.

If the kids have sore throat and I can see sores, I make them swallow a spoon full of garlic, it totally works, but is nasty nasty!

I was taking garlic pills (the non smelling kind) for a while around nov and dec and I was immune to all the colds and flu's going around.
I still take vinegar water, but it is totally gross. I hope it works; I havent' thrown up for like 4 1/2 years!

You are suppose to use the real Apple Cidar Vinegar, not ACV flavored or white distilled. It changes the acidity of your stomach killing the "BUG".

Here is the recipe: 1/2 cup water, 1 Tablespoon ACV. You may add 1 Tablespoon of sugar or honey and ice if that is your thing.

I would suggest taking it again before bed or the next morning for good measure. If someone else gets the "BUG", keep taking it until no one gets sick.

It usually will stop the stomach flu if you take it just as you start feeling something isn't right with your tummy!
