It's Sunny..Just Kidding!!

We had a few days of really nice weather and the kids were outside playing and having loads of fun. Here is Addi on his scooter that he loves to ride.

Lizzie is taking volleyball at school and really likes it. I thought this was a neat camera shot! Notice the intensity in Lizzies face.

Like the stamp on Aleah's forehead? When the kids lunch money is low they get their hand stamped with a smiley face and then they rub it on their foreheads.

Lexi on her Christmas bike. She hasn't been able to ride it because of the snow.

Here is Anni playing on our tree swing. She posed so nicely for this picture!

Here are all the kids playing outside and it was so warm and nice!

This is what we woke up to the next day! Boo! Hiss!

And it got cold again. Mother nature is very unpredictable!

Get ready to go on a walk kids!

Now that the weather is getting better we like to go for walks around our neighborhood as a family. Today we decided to go to the Library. It has a kids play ground right next to it. Jason told all the kids to get their shoes and sock on.
Here is Addi ready to ride his scooter!

I noticed something about Addi's socks as he was walking with Jay.

He chose Aleah's snowman socks and they were "peeking" out from his pants. I laughed and laughed. He actually wears Aleah's socks most of the time. He wore her fancy church socks when we went to see Jason at the school the other day. One was white and the other one was purple and they had some nice white lace on them. Its just to cute!

Its probably the best I've ever done, Mom!

I think that these totally speak for themselves. Annika drew them today after school for me. I like how I kind of look like a scarecrow. I wasn't sure if I was riding a horse or a giraffe. Its a horse of course! Anni always draws me random pictures, and they are priceless to me. I love it when she makes me a picture.
This is the other one that she did. A flamingo. I would say its a pretty good likeness wouldn't you?

Congrats Lizzie!

I wanted to let you all know that Lizzie got High Honors and school last semester. She had a 3.76 grade point average!

This is her certificate.

I am proud of her since I flunked 7th grade. I am not sure many people know that about me? I had to repeat 7th grade in AZ. We moved to WA my 8th grade year. I was the oldest in my class. I really didn't care about school the year that I flunked and I learned a valuable lesson after that. When you parents tell you something you should totally listen.

Lexi and the Wax Museum

The kids school does a neat program for the 5th graders every year called the wax museum. They have to pick someone from American History and research them. When they have all their facts on the person they picked they have to memorize like a three Minute speech.
Lexi was Annie Oakley for her wax museum and after a small singing part of the program all the kids took their places around the gym. We then got to walk around and each kid had a little button that you push and they start talking about who they are and what they did. They act just like you would in a wax museum, it was really neat.

Lexi was in her "sitting"pose ( she had 4 posed that she did). She did a great job and you can see her button on her chair next to her, that is what you would push when you wanted her to start talking. This was a very enjoyable program and the kids I am sure learned alot, I know I did.

My friends son was Harry Houdini

Field Trips..

So Aleah brought home a paper for a Field trip that her class is taking on March 9th. This was yesterday the Feb 25th that she brought it home. It asked weather or not she was going to have home lunch or school lunch (the school will provide a sack lunch for Field trips). Of course home lunch is so much better because you get to eat things that you normally wouldn't get to have.
I told her that home lunch was fine. Later that night I went to make dinner and I found a lunch bag on the counter. Miss Aleah had went and made her lunch for a Field trip that was 2 weeks away. I remember that excitement all to well.
Here is a story about my home lunch.
I remember going to the fish hatchery on a Field trip when we lived in Az. I think I was about 10 or so. I was super excited to get a home lunch because that meant we could have a soda (wrapped in tinfoil of course) in your lunch. I
had the best sandwich meat and cheese and some chips that are no longer made (keebler crunch twists in cheddar cheese, they were so good) and Pink snowballs for desert. It was so great and I was super excited to eat my lunch. I wanted to eat my lunch on the bus as we were driving but they collected all the lunches in our class.
After seeing the fish.
I was sitting with my friends and enjoying my lunch when I went to open my soda. It was grape. Or it was supposed to be, apparently we had run out of soda and all mom had left was a V8 veggie juice. GROSS!!! I was so bummed my good lunch was ruined by a tangy tomato drink that I still to this day cant stand! My teacher happened to walk by and exclaimed how much she liked V8. I gave it to her. I had to drink; drinking fountain water for my lunch. It was still a good Home lunch but would have been that much better with my grape soda.

Ready for Spring!

The weather here has been so nice these last few days. I am starting to get some serious spring fever. I love summer and dread the fall and winter. I think I go into hibernation mode as soon as these seasons hit and my body starts to slow way down and pack on the pounds in preparation for those long dark months. Now that the sun is coming out and its getting warmer everything is waking up! Here are a few pics that I had on the computer, enjoy!

The girls had "crazy hair day" at school and these were the styles they came up with.

Got to have a back of the head shot too!

I always throw the clean clothes on my bed and fold them all at once. Addi loves to hide in the clothes. I didn't know he was there until I heard the giggling.

Aleah likes to have tea parities with her friend from next door. Notice how proper he is drinking his water with the pinkie out!
