Like my new table? I Do

I got this table at my friends antique store. Another customer had it on lay-away and never paid on it and so she put it back out in her store. I saw it and told her I would take it. It looks great in my kitchen. I like it because its old and makes me think of my grandma Janyne, not sure why maybe because its metal. I love it so much. It ties my kitchen together nicely.

The kids enjoyed sitting at the table for breakfast this morning. The leafs fold out and it makes it a little bigger.

I was looking at pictures and saw this one, I didnt realize that lexi was looking over my shoulder and she said "Mom is that you?" I said yup thats me. As she is walking out of the room she says "WOW" (I dont think it was a compliment either)

The house was quiet, to quiet and so I went to investigate where my son was. It took me at least 5 min to find him. I asked him what are u doing in momma's bed. He said Addi's Cold!!!

I used to love burrying myself in the blankets and pillows. Still do if its a cold day outside.

Jason wrestles with Addason

So Jason was rough housing with Addi last night, like he always does. Addi laughs and laughs cause Jason chases him and throws him around. Well I was checking blogs last night and I heard them playing and then Addi comes to me and he is crying. I asked him what was wrong and he said "Daddy drop, Addi head." I assumed that Jason dropped him while they were playing....nope. Addi laid on the ground and Jason took his foot and rubbed his head.. He didnt like it and came and tattled on his dad... Just to funny.

My cat really loves me

So this is where my cat usually sits when I am stationary. She loves to curl up next to me. In the morning she is right under my feet wanting my attention after a long lonely night. (Jason wont let her in our room at night).

In the Movie "The Golden Compass" each person has an animal that is called their "Demon" and Corks thinks this cat is mine because she is always following me or by me. I know I have said this before but she is just the most well behaved cat and very loving.

I have a sock basket... I hate it!!!

So ok, I have this sock basket that I really, really dont like. I dont know about any of u but my socks dont ever stay together when they get washed and so I toss them in a basket to be mated later. My mom did this same thing when we were younger. Once we got older and wiser we started keeping our socks in our drawer because if u went to look in the sock basket for socks u never came back. Here is our sock basket... I hate it!!!

On a side note I make my kids mate socks for punishment. Now they hate it too.

I tuckered him out...poor boy

So I made Addi sweep for his chore. He really likes to play with the broom and so if u cant find it the Addi probably is playing with it. So I the house was to quiet and so I went to investigate why and found him like this. He worked so hard.

Leah and Addi were playing downstairs and he tripped and fell on the vacuum. He cut his eyelid poor little man.

He really like this doll and has been taking it everywhere. He was really upset that we didnt have any clothes for it. He keeps putting his own clothes on the doll but they are to big and always fall off.

Spring....... Wishfull thinking!

So yesterday was sunny and so warm. I think it ended up being like 81 for the high. This is what it is like today. Cold and snowy. The temp dropped like 20 degrees in just a few hours and then it started to snow. What a strange winter, it just doesnt want to leave.....

It looks like Spring...I Hope???

So Saterday was such a nice day here that I decided to plant flowers on either side of my porch. They yellow daffodils were already here, I planted the Pansies.

I hope it is spring because this is the view from my front porch and it snowed on Friday morning so I am hoping that Mother Nature wants it to be Spring as well.

Addi was helping me plant flowers. He accutally just kept stepping on them and so I told him to go sit on the steps and he did.

He looks so small just sitting there. If u look close u can kinda see the flowers on either side of the porch.

I dont scrapbook but I do..............

Its true that I really dont enjoy scrapbooking it gives me a headache and I think that it is an expensive hobby. I do however love to crosstitch. Its very relaxing and u can take it anywhere. I worked on my current project during conference it keeps me awake and its easy to listen and stitch at the same time. I cant wait to start my next one its a picture by Greg K. Oslen titled "Oh Jeruselem".
This one is gonna be huge and I cant wait to start it.

I did this one for Jason when he graduated from grad school. I have done one of these for Melissa as well.

This is one that I did for Shavonne and Derek as a wedding gift. It only took like a year to complete (I was being lazy). I also did one of these for my friend Phena.
I have done others but didnt take any pics before giving them away.

I really like cereal

I could eat cereal for every meal, thats how much I like it. When we were younger I would use my babysitting money to buy a box of sweet cereal just for me because my mom only ever bought Cheerios, Corn Flakes, and Rice Crispies. Now I like those but sometimes u need some variety. I remember thinking that when I grow up I hope they still have cereal around so that I can have it whenever I want it. Guess what they do and now I can have it whenever I want. I like to eat it dry. I like it here I like it there I like it everywhere.

My favorite Chore

Out of all the chores that I have to do, vacuuming the house is my absolute favorite! The girls will clean their rooms and tell me u can vacuum now mom. I love to take the vacuum apart when something is wrong with it. There is a certain amount of satisfaction u get when u fix the problem and know that it will pick up again. I love to see the vacuum marks in the carpet and know that it will be clean for at least a little while. It is a job that gives instant results even if getting to that point takes forever.... My dream would be to one day own my very own Dyson vacuum..... Oh what a dream that would be.

I love quilts!!

There are some things that I just love and quilts is one of them. The stranger the better. Something with lots of colors and patterns, it makes my room feel fun. I just got this one at a yard sale this last weekend and it fits my California King bed so well that it hangs over the sides. The colors are so vibrant and fun. It livens up this deary room until we can remodel it.

My son the pirate!!!

Ok so Aleah came home and saw that Addi had this Tattoo on his tummy (that is where he said he wanted the sticker that he found). I realized it was a tattoo and thought ok no one will see it. He showed it to all of his sisters and this is what Aleah said... "Sweet tat Addi!" Ok so I want to know is where she heard the word "tat". What is that school teaching her?????
